Default 2007 Silverado "Trail Rash" correction

I've done this truck a couple times in the past. Did a 2 step on it about 2 years ago and it came out great. Since then MANY more commuting miles have been added to it, along with an obscene amount of rock chips (what you get for commuting down country roads I guess). About 6 months ago he had the whole front end repainted to eliminate the "acne look" of all the chips. He was going to have me do another correction on the front to eliminate the body shop holograms and swirls a little down the road. But he took the truck hunting with some friends and one of them drove it right through the path of some branches! *SCRAPE* Trail rash!! So right away he brought it too me and told me just do whatever you need to do to get these out. Wetsanding was needed and performed and correction was done over the whole truck. The better part of 3 days and many many hours were spent getting this gorgeous rig back to "ship shape". LSP was 2 coats of Zaino Z2pro. In the end objective achieved, and client thrilled.

A short while after the detail he decided to pick up a 2011 Silverado crew cab LTZ 6.2L, also BLACK! And he sold this truck. The new owner was filling up at the gas station and the owner of a newer Viper came over and asked how he got the black to look like that. Calls were made and that one will be coming in for likely a 3 step correction soon.

Here's what it looked like upon arrival

Yikes! Waterspots!!

Fair amount of new swirls and marring

Removing trim to do a proper job

Wetsanded sections

Corrected! But still needed polishing after compounding

More waterspot carnage

Looking "ship shape" again!

Are those wheels "black chrome"? Can't figure out if I like it or not. I'm excited to see paint correction on a Viper though!

Nice. I thought you usually clean the inside of the wheels on your details?

I usually do, but he told me not to bother since he was going to put his other wheels on when it got home.
