Default About to purchase Wheels. Please Advise!

Hi I have been searching high and low for the best 2005 cts-v wheel/tire setup for around 2k.

It seems as thought the 19" linea corse's are a good option due to the staggered setup with 8.5 up front and 10 rear width. However, as far as I can tell this is not going to help me put a wider tire on the rear of the car due to rub.

So, I am opting for the 18" Rota Torque's with a 8.5" width. It appears as though I can run a 245f/275r setup on these wheels with out a problem. I would also like to lower the car a bit to get rid of the wheel gap.

Initially I wanted to run a 305 on the rear wheels, but this does not seem feasible with out rub. If any one know how to do this PLEASE ADVISE! If it is possible with out extensive modification I will do it.

Also, if I do choose the rota torque's does anyone know how much I can lower it with out rubbing, assuming i am running 245/40/18 and 275/40/18?

Thanks,

I am new to this car as well. And I am planning the same upgrade as my next setup. The previous owner had that same 245f/275r tire setup on stock rims with a noticable drop in height from the H&R springs. And there were no issues with that setup.

That being said my plan now is to get the rota torques as well unless I can find a nother wheel Rota would be willing to order in our size/pattern/offset. According to wheeldude, the grids would not clear our brake calipers in the right offset/size.

The problem with the torques is that they are not staggered. THe Linea Corse's are, but I am not in love with the design.

I talked with Wheel dude and they are thinking about making the http://www.wheeldude.com/wordpress/whats-new/2011/01/09/lc855-for-cadillacs-now-available-for-special-order"]LC855[/URL], which is an amazing wheel. If we you and I are interested, they may make them!

Front: 19×8.5 6×115 with a +40mm offset
Rear: 19×10 6×115 with a +47mm offset

Wheels will be hubcentric so they will be a direct bolt on for CTS-V’s

Price will be $1299 shipped to your doorstep.

Is anyone else interested in these rims??????

I wonder how the fitment would be with a lwoered car. i'd be very interested.

Now do they come with centercaps? because I LOVE in all ways the Team dynamics(Lindsay Caddie sells em) but their lack of center caps kinds ruins it for me.

Let me see if I can get Wheeldude to join this conversation. I think they just need the initial interest (and deposits) to manufacture these. I have looked at wheel options for two weeks, this would be the best option BY FAR.

Here are a few Linea Corse Veneto's lowered from the other site. The OP is running 285's.

I think this is a good idea. WOnder how playful they are on package pricing with a 245/275 tire setup...

I do wonder what kind of camber was needed to get those under.

In the thread wheeldude mentions that the 275/35 tire fits without rubbing even on a lowered car. but I wodner if that woulr require added camber?

Is that in regards to the Torque (18") or Linea Corse (19")?

the linea... Those look very close to the Team Dynamics but in a 19 inch rim. If they come with centercaps and especially if they can work out a good wheel/tire package... id be down.

only reason I was thinking the torques is 1 a lack of options and 2 I have some 245/275 18" tires sitting in my garage.

Also, it looks like you can run 285's on the linea corse no problem. 295 seem's to work ok too, but I am curious if I can track the car with the 295's - it may rub then.

I am thinking about the hyper black linea corse with 285's in the rear.

I think 275s would do just fine...

If i get these anyone want a set of 18" 245/275 tires. They are used but have a good 10-15k left on them. Try and offset the price of wheels and tires.

Yah, I think 285 may rub if it is lowered.

You are referring to the linea corse's? Or The LC855's which are in "pre-production"

My car is stealth grey, getting hyper black rims. What tires are you going to wrap these in? I bet we can get a deal if we both put in an order.

I am only going to refer to the pre-production LC855s from now on. The others are ugly. So from now on i am refering to those.

Tire wise I want something agressive for the summer time with decent wear numbers. I have a set of all seasons on the stockers for winter. So summer all the way.

I am all for a deal. Lets work one out with them.
I am obviously Stealth black. And I am not sure which color I would get, but given only the hyper silver and hyper black... Id get hyper black. Though a gloss or flat black or even satin black would be badass as well.
