Default having problems putting gas in my gas tank

it takes me like 10min. to put 8 bucks of gas in my 94 z28, it goes in but a little at a time, could it be a vent hose or something like.

The tank vent might be clogged or broken.

yeah thats most likely what the problem is. same thing happend on my dual tank cummins. it would just click cause there was a vent problem between the 2 tanks. took me 30mins to fill up the front tank.

I had a similar problem not too long ago, I'm the farthest thing from a mechanical genius so read and proceed at your own caution. Part I - I was having the problem at an older gas station with the filler necks that are somewhat shorter, went to a newer station with the longer filler necks and it improved. Part II - I let the car get down to a 1/4 tank, before I drove to the gas station, I undid the gas cap and gave the car a good couple of bounces off the back end (this was something an old-timer suggested to me), put the gas cap back on, went to the newer gas station again and it's been problem free ever since. Could be air in the lines, could be a bad purge solenoid (which I think are on top of our fuel tanks...oh joy), I don't know if that would throw a code or not. Again, it's painfully obviously I'm not a mechanic, just some homespun remedies that might or might not work.

Good luck.
