Default ERL 454 (Dry Sleeve)

Anybody had ERL do a 454 short block based on a resleeved LS3? I'm looking to do a regular dry sleeve, non superdeck, and am wondering what opinions are on the regular dry sleeve block.

Thanks,
Mike

I've read many writeups on it. Do a SEARCH something like...... LS2 454. Never heard anything bad.

Did some searching and found a few threads pertaining to mostly superdeck builds of less than 454 cubic inches. I'll dig some more.... was hoping for 454 specific info but what I found is informative.

Thanks.

I am looking at their blocks too. If you dig up anything good in your research could you post your data in this thread? I will do the same.

Thanks

...not a 454 but they are doing a LS2 427 dry sleeve block for me right now. Hopefully I get it next week. I didn't get a 454 because I'm going to use everything off my LS1 for now except the cam and that's already push it with the 427.

Some great info in this thread that is the initial offer on the short blocks.

An important caveat is that your core block needs to be a Gen IV design.

this is what ERL said to me an a PM:

So, if we use the LS2 then I would need an LS2 from you. I can use your LS1 (as long as it's a 2nd gen or LS6) and turn it into a 454 but it would be one of Superdeck I systems and I have the prices listed for them as well under our Superdeck I packages. They are more but they come with more. Please let me know how I can help. Thanks!
