Default Is the 04 GTO fuel tank of value to me?

I'm swapping an '04 GTO ls1 and 4l60 into my 69 GTO. When i bought the engine i recieved the ecm/harness, cold air set-up and the '04 fuel tank in addition to many other little odds and ends. The original style tank in the car is new. Can I make use of the factory pump/pick-up from the '04 at all ? I realize they would have to be modified (?)to fit into the thin original tank. Is this an option,I did some searching in the fuel section but found nothing.

Thanks.
M.

I did the exact same thing in my 72 nova.I put a sum in the front of the tank about 2" deep and had to raise the top of the tank about 2" granted had to put a hole in the truck floor.pm me i'll post some pics when i get my car back.
