Default 1968 pontiac conversion: engine location

my tranny is dead center, the motor is a 1/4 inch off center to the left, is this a major problem for the drive train?

Note: this happen because while welding the motor mounts , it pulled without me noticing it. (P.S. always tack weld first)
I may have to cut and re-weld my home make bracket mounts.

No. it shouldn't be, the U-Joints should be able to handle that. just make sure your pinion angle and Engine/Trans tilt are within spec's so that you will avoid harmonics as much as possible.. get the engine and trans in alignement, that being parallel with the frame

Many Big Block cars have offset engines for one reason or another.
