I've never seen any light and my fuel gauge isn't accurate at all so I'm screwed.

No low fuel light on f-bodies. I consider the low fuel light the red portion of the gas gauge.

I know on the 98-02 f bodys there was a check gages light that comes on when you have around 2 gallons left. I don't know about early model f bodys/

same here about the 1/4 at least on lt1s. I've lived it so, I'm not about to run out of gas anymore.

As stated above, for my 1999, the "check gauge" light comes on when running low on gas. On my 1997 Camaros - nothing.

WRONG!!!! My dad's 00 WS6 has a low petrol light. However in my car if I'm on E I have no petrol left which has been confirmed by my car shutting off.

If I go much lower than 1/4 tank on the gauge, I'm close to running out.

I'm sure most of you already know this but running the tank low isn't a good thing since the gas cools the electric pump. I haven't had to replace a pump yet but I hear it's no picnic. I've only run out of gas once - in my old 97 V6.
