4th Gear not there

Default 4th Gear not there
The fourth gear won't engage in my 2000 Z28. When I shift into it, it grinds and pops out when I let off the clutch. I've been told its most likely a synchro.

Any thoughts?

Check your shifter stops if any, otherwise you'll need a rebuild so it doesn't matter what it turns out to be. Synchros, fork pads, fork, keys...
