Default SUPERCHIP PROGRAMMERCamaro 5.7L LS1 1999-2002 2725 Not required +32HP +17ft/lb ?

Hey guys I wanted to buy a hypertech but coldn't find one in the price I wanted to spend.. I noticed they gave only 5hp.. So I found superchip and they claim Camaro 5.7L LS1 1999-2002 2725 Not required +32HP +17ft/lb .. They say a 1998 Ls1 only gains 15hp.. Haas anyone used a superchip on a 99-2002 and dynoed it? THanks

don't buy hypertech, or superchip, or diablo for Horsepower, they all fall short of claims.

The diablo is better, as you can get a custom tune, and make adjustments yourself, to get more power.

But the HPP3 and Superchips are loaded with a program that cannot be changed, and many times does not help the vehicle.

If you know somebody at superchips, and can get a custom dynotune done, with the superchip programmer, then it might give those claims, but box stock.. don't buy it expecting any power from it.

HPP3/Superchips are good for gear, fan temps, rev limiter, ect, those kind of changes.

here is a deal for you.

Buy the tuner, and put it on your car.

Let me know what kind of gains you see on the dyno, same day, just uploading the tuning program.

Anybody can make claims, if 32 hp was the norm, it would be a more popular mod, and i would have bought one, when i had the chance to get one at wholesale.

I am one of the few people who is a fan of this tuner, and one of the few people on this board who i know of, who has rode in a car with a custom superchips tuner tune, and i know what it "can" do with the right back end programming. It is just not easy for average joe to get a custom dyno tune with thier tuner. I don't doubt the tuner "CAN" give you 32 hp, just not on a stock tune, vs superchips tune, on a stock car.

they've had a nice 30 day money back return policy in the past, never taken advantage of it, but the people over there are nice, and should honor it.

im sure the legal wording somewhere is "these gains were shown on a stock vehicle, your gains may vary" so it is not false advertising, im fairly sure somewhere they have a dynolog of the gains.

Just received dyno results on a Mustang Dyno. 2002 Camaro Z28, 43,000 miles, A4. Only mods are an SLP lid and LM1 exhaust. 318 hp / 335tq at wheels...quarter mile 13.5. not bad for a convertible with a cheap programmer.
