Hey guys, Im getting ready to change the plugs on my 98 T.A. What plugs should I use? Obviously, Im looking to gain as much power as I can from them!! Its pretty much stock. While Im down there, Im putting on longtube headers, and a cat-eliminating Y-pipe to mate up with my previously installed Magnaflow Cat-back. Any advice would be great thanks.

I would go TR-55. I don't know about a power gain from them but they are a good factory replacement and a great plug for the money. We have them if you need a set.

Ngk tr55 . Doubt you will see a hp gain though. Only noticeability will probably be idle and MAYBE a little better throttle response.

ngk tr-55ix iridium's... I ran the conventional tr55's many times and they are great plugs, but imo for a bolton car the ix iridiums will yield better fuel mileage and longevity.

NGK's site shows TR5 for the LS1. Where does everyone get the idea to use TR55?

TR55 and TR5 are simply gapped different out of the box. Same heat range and all.

Plugs don't gain any power unless the ones in the car are FUBAR. Ive always used NGK's b/c of the good things ive read about them and their price tag. I just don't see the point in paying 7-10 dollars for a plug.

No power gain to be had from a plug swap, unless the old ones were fouled/worn.
