Default Some Qs...

i just picked up a ls1 car with a messed up tranny so here we go...

ITS AN
AUTOMATIC
the scenario-

The car goes into gear-

first gear is fine.
second gear doesnt do anything till like 3500
3 and 4 is almost non existant.

when shifting (1,2,D,[D]) it does the ssame thing.

also a loud banging is heard when i give it gas or put it in gear.(im thinkin mount lol)

also, another question...

my friend has a trans from a 94 LT1 car, automatic, will it work with my LS?

Start with the basics first. Check fluid level and condition first. The bang is most likely a broken mount ( very common). The LT1 transmission will not fit the LS1.
