LQ9 vs LS2 bottom end

LQ9 vs LS2 bottom end Aside from the block and heads, are the lq9 and ls2 essentially the same? Same bore, same stroke, both have flat top pistons.
What if any are the differences?

Hey spencer. I dont know what the differances are, but I do know that the two rotating assys WILL interchange size wise. Thats all I got pal. Good luck. Eric L

I knew that stuff, was really just concerned with bore, stroke, and pistons dimensions.
What im really getting at is, does putting 243s on a lq9 ESSENTIALLY give you an iron ls2?

Exactly what I wanted to hear, picked up an lq9 this past weekend and getting 243s tomorrow after work.
With the TR224 and other mods in sig, what do you think it will put to the tires? 390?

I was told that the LS2 rods/pistons will stick out of the block .005 farther on the iron block, than on the AL... haven't checked it, but it would be worth checking if you are milling or using thinner head gaskets.
