Question Will removing the AIR tubes require programing

If I remove the AIR tubes and hoses, but leave the pump hooked up will it trip a SES light? I will be running O2 sims.

It will eventually set a code. O2 sims have nothing to do with the AIR system. If you are going to pull the tubes and hoses, pull the AIR pump fuse. It can be kind of noisy running without the hoses on it.

See that's what I was wondering. I'm sure if I pull the fuse the SES light will come on eventually. My theory was leave the pump hooked up, what's a little more noise at start up for a few seconds, I already have long tubes and a loudmouth catback. PCM sees it and thinks its working. Rear O2 sims say cats are lit off and working (always) so PCM thinks AIR system is working. No SES light. OR is that too good to be true, lol.
