Just wondering if it is ok to installed a cam in my '99 SS Camaro that has 105,000 miles I'm looking towards a tick polluter or MS3... Just wanted to know if I could or would it be a waste of time with that kind of mileage.

As long as your engine is in good condition, yes its fine! At a 100k your LS1 has alot of miles left in it as long as it was taken care of.

Might as well look at a smaller cam if you're keeping stock heads.

As long as its been taken care of it should be fine, but be sure to do supporting mods and maybe a high flow oil pump while your in there

You will be fine installing a camshaft with 105K on the motor. Remember a cams as big as those two is going to require supporting hardware which includes springs, retainers, seals, pushrods and if you are a M6 a set of gears or if you are a auto a stall.

I can't take any credit for mine....I bought it this way.
Pat G spec'd, 231/231 .612/.604 111+4, new valvesprings, retainers, and timing chain. Close to an MS3 size at 126k. Puts a smile on my face everytime I drive it. Of course, it's not a daily driver. Go for it!
