Military Hotrod Club - Where did you put the window decal on your F-body?

Just like it says. I like the clean look of my car without anything on it but up here at JBLM we must have window decals for our cars. I think all bases, and posts are the same as to location so what do you guys prefer? Top center of the window or drivers side bottom? I don't know where I should put mine. What looks better?

Driver side bottom looks the most acceptable

driver side bottom right above the VIN. out of the way of the windshield wipers. its the cleanest look.

Took mine off as it would clearly label my car as a military car when I am off post. I did this when the recommendations came out (stating the obvious) that military stickers clearly labels your car as a service member's vehicle when out in public. A few heady senior NCOs tried to create trouble over it but a few trips up the chain of command and to the MP station verified that at least fort drum does not require the stickers anymore.
I think it as driver side bottom as that was about the only spot the wipers wouldn't wipe it away.

I wish the military would change the little rule on those stickers. Since a walking enlistedman while covered is required to salute a officer's car, the officers cars should have the stickers top center of the windshield. That thin blue stripe is VERY difficult to see. I know there's a few more service members (especially Devil Dogs) who have had a car stop just so some damn officer can ramble on about "respect" and such.
Note: When as officer does that, NEVER tell him your real unit...he won't come hunting for you when he figures out the problem later! ;)

Just a thought haven't tried it but maybe just put it on like a piece of cardboard or something and when you roll into base you can put it up in your dash. And vice versa for when you leave. Not sure if it would fly though. That way your vehicle isn't targeted for when you are off post.

Just curious but why would your car be targeted off base for having a DOD sticker?

You get those people who hate the military and will see the decal and will try to damage your car. Or people try to steal them for some reason or another to put them on their car. Its definitely not a common occurance but it does happen.
