Default is there any benefit to porting my melling m155

slowly building my motor, and was wondering if there was any benefit to porting the oil pump and blueprinting it?

Blueprinting a stock pump? Yes. Actually "porting" it? No, at least not on an LT1. I have heard the LS1 guys doing it, but since the LT1 is a typical SBC there's no real benefit.

I allways just remove any internal casting flash or sharp edges, I also put in feeder grooves.

the lsx motors have a shitty oiling system... simple SBCs will run 8000+ with limited oiling mods (windage and drainback)
