Default Looking to get a tune come spring

Going to a local tuner to get my 2000 Trans Am tuned. Once the installs are finished I am going ASAP.

Any idea on how much HP/TQ estimate I should be able to pick up while I am there? I have 0 doubts on his tuning abilities because he is very good.

The mods will be as followed

1)MTI Lid
2)K&N Airfilter
3)Ported TB
4)Dual DMH electric cutouts
5)Magnaflow catback
6)Pacesetter 1 3/4 LT's w/ORY
7)243 heads (not ported)
8)LS6 intake

Everything else is stock.

Just want to get an idea on the ball park. I know every car responds differently. Hope I am in the right section posting this. If not mod please move or delete it.

If you are doing all that and putting different heads on why not throw a cam in there too. It would make sense to do that if you are going to get a tune on the car.

No money. Planned on the cam and stall for next month..but been having problems with my DD Camaro. Its best to put the money towards a new car. I have no problem waiting on the cam till later in the year.

You don't say if you are auto or 6 spd and whether you are going to dyno with the cutout open or closed so Detoxx is close at 340 if its an auto and a tad higher if its a 6 spd.

He's a auto Bobby.

Rolo I know you wanna wait to get the cam but to save on install and tuning cost I would just wait and do it all at once.

Yea, but the dyno tune isn't really all that much. Steve said he can do it for $350..then any update for $150.. To me it's really not all that much as I intented. And he does a great job for the price. EVI told me about $600-700

When I move out of my place in June to my new place. The cam/stall should be done within 1 month.. 1 1/2 tops. I wont nearly have as much bills and debt will be paid off. Thats why I said it wont really cost that much to me, because I will have more flowing in with my raise

I would be asking Spencer for help with the cam @ his shop. Everything would be done myself (minus the cutout install) to save the cost.

Which Steve are you talking about? If you already have it planned out to do it that way stick with it. Do you have a idea of what size cam and stall you want?

Steve as in BLKHAWK in Port Huron. Met him today while picked up my 243's.For the cam going with what Larry and Mike suggested. Will be a custom grind through Johhny. Stall will be a 3600. Havn't figured on which brand yet.
