Default EGR Delete

Quick question: I'm getting a set of race headers as most do and deleting the EGR and smog pump and such. My question is do you have to tune all that out to keep it from throwing codes?

EGR needs a tune yes, AIR does not (on OBDI cars, just leave a good fuse in the system).

Assuming you blocked off the EGR properly (tube, valve, vac line), you'll get an SES light and the fans will constantly run. There won't be any other adverse effects.

Good to know. Can't hurt to tune it anyway. Was just wondering if I needed it to be a priority.

For OBDI?

Not saying you're wrong, but I've seen the EGR delete set countless SES lights. Am I missing something...?
