Default No heat, anyone any ideas

Bought a 94 z28 a4. they bypassed the heater core because it was leaking. I get the car home replaced the heater core, hooked everything back up, i still get no heat. Im not sure what to look into now, if anyone could point me in some other direction, just something else to look for thatd be great! thanks!

I don't think they are cable driven (if I remember right). If it's electrical I'd start easy and check fuses and such. If the heater was never used the flapper door could be stuck too.

If its not the cable then I would look to make sure the cooling system is properly bled. Those LT motors are sometimes finicky to get all the air out of the system and the heater core is usually the first place to get an air pocket and not put any heat out.

Heater core could be plugged up.....
Disconnect heater hoses and run water through from garden hose both directions this can losen the obstruction from the inside.

What temp is your car running at? Does it have a thermostat in it?

orange coolant likes to gum up. squeeze the hoses in and out of the heater core several times. if theres a blockage sometimes this will fix it temporarily. then you know you just need to flush the system.
