I can't be the only one!
I've seen plenty of people say they like all camaros except the third gens or second gens and I know I'm gonna get a bunch of **** for this, but am I the only one who likes all camaros except for the first gen? They just look to much like a mustang. All other camaros are awesome! Anybody got my back on this????

It's not that I don't love them all, believe me my first car was a camaro and I've been hooked ever since. It just gets annoying when everyone you talk to about camaros says "ya camaros are awesome, I like the 69s!" 1st gens to me are eh. they have just become to popular and overplayed IMO.

there's specific years of the 2nd gen I don't like (early 80s the firebird and camaro got REAL ugly real fast..) but otherwise.. I like them all.
I'd have to say i like the firebirds of the 80s more than the camaros though.
I think a clean, well restored 3rd gen can look great, but you so rarely see it it gives them a bad name to a lot of people. They seem them beat up and faded, loud busted exhaust, peeling paint and they think the car's ugly.
it's not the car.. it's the way it's been treated.

That's very true I had a mint 82 camaro berlinetta, it had t-tops but didn't have ground effects or a wing. I had several people say "cool car, what kind is it?" they had never seen a nice 3rd gen that wasn't an iroc!

i was kind of assbackwards with camaros.
the first one i saw was an 81, i thoguht it was the coolest thing ever.
then i saw a 3rd gen, i thought it looked terrible (the condition didnt help) i bought it.
i hated 4th gens, both kinds, bought it.
now here is where i stand.
1st gens to me are like Back in Black, i hear about them too much, garunteed to have 2 or 3 (at least) at every car show. i would choose a 70 Split bumper any day of the week over a 69.
i love the first half of the 2nd gens, so sexy.
the later 2nd gens, bleh!
3rd gens i love bc i've been looking at ever piece of them for 4 years. today i saw a Sport Coupe with no ground effects, a small cowl hood, and 5" spoiler, that is now my favorite 3rd gen.
4th gens i love now. of course the LS1s over the LT1s, but now at least i appreciate the LT1s.

my only beef with 4th gens like mine is the Chrysler front end.
But whistler headlights and a painted camaro air dam insert and SS hood should fix all of that nicely.
It's just a late 90s/early 2000s thing with cars I guess..
I chose the 2000 model year on my car for a number of reasons.
it has an ls1 and not an LT or TBI or carb, it doesn't have sealed beam headlights, and it's still too new as a GA car to have rust problems that need repairing... oh and it's cheap.
you get into 1st and 2nd gens.. you gotta be makin way more in salary than I do to even afford the rusted out husk to start your project.

i think you're definitely in the minority on this one. haha. I do agree though 69' camaro's are getting pretty played out, but it will probably always be my favorite car and favorite camaro! I'd have to say my next favorite would be the early 2nd gens, and then the 4th gens. but hell i even like the third gens, and think that they can look mean as hell with the right set up!

I knew I wasn't the only one. My thoughts exactly, I don't hate them, but they are probably my least favorite camaro. I am die hard chevy and when it comes to 60s muscle cars I like the weird ones, like a 66 chevelle, chevy II, or a 427 biscayne!! Anything 70 and on is camaro all the way!

I don't like 5th gens.
Here's my personal ratings:
1st gen 6/10 (prefer the way Barracudas and Challengers look)
early 2nd gen 8/10 (prefer the Firebirds)
late 2nd gen 6/10 (prefer the Firebirds again)
3rd gen 7/10, unless it's light yellow, then 8/10
early 4th gen 10/10
late 4th gen 9/10
5th gen 1/10
