Questions About the Tune in My Car
I bought the car with a tune from Detroit Speedworks. The car still seems to have some surge left in it. At times, while it is warming up, it will go up to 1500 at times spiking. Everyday driving it idles at 1000. There are times when it will surge pretty hard to. WhenI get out, it has that rich smell to it. Does this sound like a pretty bad tune?

just needs some tuning. find a buddy with efilive and log the issue.
I get a tiny bit of surge on a flat or downhill at 0-5%TPS when my 'verter locks up at 1000rpm in OD. I needed low lockup since i do 99% street driving to work at 30-35mph speed limit (damn radar cops).
Try dropping her into D if you notice this and see if that helps meanwhile. That surge feels like its abuseful on the drivetrain. Around any load amount (locked up), going uphill, or 2000+ it should be smooth as shiz. I got an 112lsa too.
The 1000rpm idle helps on those cold mornings. Sounds like you need some tweaking by a better A4 tuner.. or the same tuner.
you do have the right to take it back to the tuner and tell them to fix it. Someone paid good money for the tune, it shouldn't be like that. Your cam isn't all that big.

I don't have any lights and am running the stock MAF. I don't notice anything else out of the norm. I guess I need to look at a tune. Thanks for the comparison 2xLS1.
