Default Umi Tunnel Mount TRUE DUALS

Could someone with an UMI Tunnel mount TA with DSL tell me if this will work?

As you can see from the illustration the narrow portion is less than 5 inches.

If someone could measure and tell me if this will fit under / through the brace I would be forever grateful

Wicked94Z is gonna check it out for me.

If anyone else has any experience with this tq arm and true duals please post up.

I have this X pipe kit and 2 Borla pro XS mufflers sitting in the shopping cart on Summit

If you are building this yourself or having it built with the ability to line that X up with the crossmember then I feel it would clear and work nicely for you.

I hope that helps!

If your building it your self it will fit under there. My buddy has it on his car and it clears, you will have to tuck it up as high as possible and make sure your exhaust dont move.

That should fit pretty good. If you need less width you could always cut it alittle shorter to bring the tubes alittle closer

Any science behind why you dont like it? Shouldn't be a huge reduction from the same flowable area of a normal x pipe, and if you think about it the long gentle curves of it may be a benefit to flow.

i guess it wouldnt be too bad but it seems like the crossover area seems kind of long/big which will slow the velocity of the exhaust which is counterproductive. Since the exhaust is not a steady stream it is pulses you want to use the low pressure behind one pulse to pull the next one through the x pipe.

True but when you get that far back in the exhaust, it's been shown having a box to terminate the pressure waves is a benefit to flow as well.

I guess we'll see how this works. If it dynos uber low I'll pull the duals off and make a hero pull with open headers

I really think it's splitting hairs comparing this to the conventional X pipe though.

Im trying to fit it through the tunnel brace on an UMI chassis mount Tq arm.

That X looks way too big to fit.
