Default Cam only 355 dyno numbers

What's everybody putting down with cam only 355 cars? More specifically with stalled 4L60Es? I had mine on the dyno yesterday and just want to compare what power I'm making with others with similar mods.

My list of major mods:

355 stock bottom end/forged flat tops
COMP 280XFI (467 cam)/1.6 Pro Mags
52mm throttle body/Moroso CAI
SVO 30# injectors
Jet Hot long tubes/2.5" true duals/Dynomax bullets
FLT Level 4 4L60E/Yank SS3600
Moser 9" rear/3.70/Detroit Locker
Accel 300+ ignition
CSR electric water pump
Underdrive crank pulley

That's about all I can think of. If there's anything else that may make a difference, ask me. I'll post up my numbers and graphs in a little bit.

I knew I was forgetting something important lol. First post updated. 280XFI cam. For those who don't know the specs, it is 230/236, .576/.570, 113 LSA with 1.6 rockers.

probably about the same as a cam only 350 unless you bump that compression up quite a bit. larger, heavier piston (forged) will add some weight to the rotating assembly.

my cam only, stock shortblock made 325rwhp through an unlocked auto. (CC503, Pacesetter Mids, Intake, etc)

Yeah, I know that extra 5 cid won't make a whole lot of difference, but I didn't want any haters to say it's not a fair comparison lol.

1/8th I'm assuming? What trap, so I can compare to my 1/4 times?

Mine made 336 without full bolt ons.

350 RWTQ from 2k on up. The FLAT tq curve makes it crazy fun to drive.

Baby cam BTW

Ok, so it seems like I'm not too far off from the "average". My car was tuned by Brian Black aka "SMKN TA 95" from here, on the street with a wideband. He's no pro tuner, but apparently he knows his stuff cause the car runs great on the track, and puts up good numbers on the dyno, comparatively. Not sure if it makes much difference, but it was a pretty hot day that we tuned, too.

My best pull on motor was 332/348. I did another pull that has a few more hp, but I think it was getting heat soaked because torque was way down. We also did a couple pulls with the nitrous. When we tuned, I didn't have a bottle with me, so the spray tune is relatively safe (5 degrees taken out, base afr a little fatter). With the spray tune loaded up, I made 466/465. Overall I'm pretty happy with the numbers.

I'm guessing the tight torque converter helped that number a little

Well your Torque is really around 320, the 348 is from a spike, also looks like you are getting some detonation ..

I am curious to see what my 355 lays down on a 175. As you can see, the converter already flashes way high on the dyno. I wonder if I will get any reliable information from it.

Then again, as long as it performs well at the track, which is does, I am happy.

I agree on the detonation as well. Looks like it goes way rich, fix that and pull some more timing and it will prob pick up power, and at least be faster on the track. Reading the plugs is the beat way to verify the nitrous tune up

I didn't even notice that the torque was affected by the spike lol. Is the detonation on the motor or spray pull, or both? I logged the pulls, and didn't see any knock at all.

I meant I didn't have a bottle with me when the car was tuned 2 years ago. So for a spray tune, he just richened it up and pulled 5* of timing out, so it's just a generic safe nitrous tune that was never checked.

Mine wasn't really flashing too high, he had to start my pulls at a higher rpm because of my kickdown, it kept wanting to shift into 2nd gear so he had to roll into it slowly

Just curious, what makes you think it's detonating on the nitrous pulls? Liek I said I'm not getting any knock, but I'm also on 93 octane pump gas. Maybe I should use 100?
