So Im going on a road trip down to the Dragons Tail here in North Carolina. Well I need some new tires anyways. So I was wondering what kind of tires are good for twisty turns.

Nothing can really beat the Nitto NT-01's for price and performance...

I've got Firestone Firehawk 245s on my 16x8 GTA wheels. I got them based on customer feedback/ratings at Tirerack. Goodyear F1s were the "best" available, but also MUCH more expensive.

Impossible to go faster on that twists (318 turns in 11 mi. Dragons) bec of cops, been coming often. Watch out>Cop unmarked cars/motorcycles. Good Luck

I had use Bridgestone Potenza 760 on my Camaros. I would buy it again in future.

Add excellent Koni shocks/coils + stock sway bars.
I use front coilover 650 lbs/in. and rear coil 200 lbs/in..

Toyo RA-1s are a another good choice. They last longer than NT-01s also..... but not by much ;)

R-compound tires if you have never driven on them work really well.

Mich Pilot Sport or the Cups are awesome but expensive.

There is a guy on eBay that sells Toyo RA1's new but they are about 2 years old... for cheap! I picked up a pair of 335/30/18's for $350 shipped! They are $400 each plus shipping normally....

I play aroud on tires and found out that Yokohama A048 and Tooyo RA-1 or R888 are best choices... I don't know which I should pick one^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ for new tires in future

The Nitto NT-01 is a better tire than the RA-1, the R888's heat cycle out very quickly and the Yokohama's are pricey..

IMO, the Nitto NT-01 is the best no-brainer choice... They last just as long as the RA-1 and are cheaper than any of the other options listed.

Re11 bridgestones are actually at the top for a race tire that is well mannered on the street, and can be driven in rain. Dunlop starspecs are also up there. Re11s are a warm weather tire like most mentioned, and crap in under 50 degs. Michilin also has supersports coming out in a month way better perf. Than ps2s.
