Onstar help with 08 Tahoe - disconnecting
What is the simplest method to disconnect onstar on a 08 tahoe??
Long story short, a friends relationship problem and the vehicle I think is in both names and he is stalking her using the tracking device on it, knows where she is, the times...etc.. She doesnt think onstar is enabled but i think it is.
Is there a fuse?

i would like to know as well i might be looking to buy a onstar equipped car and rather not have bigbrother looking over my shoulder
i have a feeling that is more complected than just a fuse considering that its connect to almost all of the controls of the vehicle i have a feeling its going to be a big pita

Most GM full size SUVs have the OnStar box under the rear (second row) passenger seat.
But I would be worried about some other tracking system unless this stalker works for GM. You can't just keep calling OnStar and asking "where is my car?" - they're going to wonder what you're doing. And unlike some other systems, there is no online tracking available for consumer use. Even if there was, it wouldn't be available unless you were paying for a subscription and have the correct PIN number. So it's safe to assume that he is not tracking the vehicle using OnStar.

Its actually something be bought and connects to the OBD II port and uploads the info on to his laptop. he told her last night. I seen the print out she had, it had detailed log of every where she must have shut the vehicle off at, addresses, times, average speed driven to and from.
Is there any quick way to disable the OBD II port temporarily so he cant access it?
