Default how much power ls7 clutch?

Was wondering how torque (at the wheels preferably) especially can the ls7 clutch take before it starts to give? Also what are some of the quickest track times people have gotten with these?

I'm doing a h/c/i build in a full weight hardtop with a 12 bolt out back with Tick master. I really love the feel and driveability of this clutch and its fairly low miles, but if it wont hold I'd like to switch it while the engine is out. Thanks

How much power you planning on making? I'd say your probably right on the edge of what the clutch will hold. It's rated to handle the LS7's power at 505 HP/TRQ but thats also in a lighter vette chassis. I've never used that clutch myself but I'd have to guess that in an F-body it's going to be more like around 450-475 HP at the flywheel. Just my opinion though. someone who has used it may be able to get you some real proven numbers.

I ran one in my C5 with the H/C 346. 460/420. Great clutch but I never took it to the track.

Well its rated made for a 505 car but it has to be engineered way above that to last and take the beatings. But hoping 450/410 + to the wheels minimum

The C6 Z06 weighs less than the fbody though, which means it puts less stress on the clutch. The 505/470 kinda flies out the window in a heavier car.

Mine is h/c with LS7 clutch. It's holding up fairly well with the abuse I'm putting it through.

Just pulled one from my truck. Wants no part of the 370... Pulled it before it burnt up. RAM HD 8 puck in it now and WOW does this thing pull soooo much harder. LS7 setup is heavy too.

Bene and midevil, Power numbers/weight for either of you? I know the ratings for the z06 are kind of out the window, thats why I'm trying to find how much these have been proven to handle/when they start to fail.

Mine is at right around 3290 lbs w/o a driver and 430-440-488<-- at the wheels.

I'll redyno my car again this year as I retune the car.

My truck weigh's 4000lb w/o me. 504whp. 5.13 gears. LS7 was doing fine at the 440whp levels in my truck, but then came a bigger cam and total exhaust change.....Self adjusting pressure plate is a big pile of CRAP. I would stay away from it just because of the pressure plate.

I've been easy on it but I got 517/497. Maybe its held up since I had crapy nito tires...

Mine is under the knife right now getting a monster (lvl 3) installed as the LS7 slipped horribly behind my 370 when I shifted anywhere north of 5500rpms. (Car would actually stall) No power numbers to give you though.

LS7 clutch, Fidenza flywheel, 430ish hp 400ish tq, 3200ish lb car. It's holding up great. No abusive high rpm launches on stickies, though... great street DD clutch.
