Hammer Cam & M6 ? ? ?
I'm thinking about the Hammer cam (not too sure about which one though, C1 or C2). I have seen many people on these boards with this cam, but most seem to have automatics. How well will this cam perform with my M6? I want the 112 lobe for the lope.

Well , I'd love to help you out. I don't have a way of getting a sound clip. I could do a video clip with sound , but the car is uncapped right now getting ready for the SBSO. Thsi is my only time to get it ready before the event. Through the mufflers it is really a very mild cam, but uncap it and "good gooly moogly" . I wouldn't worry about the inspectors catching it if you have a fairly quiet exhaust system. You will love this cam. Good luck.

Re: Hammer Cam & M6 ? ? ?
I'm more interested in the performance that this cam will give me in a M6, but yes I do want some lumpty-lump-lump with it too .
How much big of a difference in power between the C1 & C2? Anyone with a M6 running either of these on a 112 lobe?
Thanks

I have a 112 LSA in an M6. I love the way it sounds. Just enough to know you're there but not too much to make the car die at idle. So far, I like it. Waiting for tuning after the LS6 intake goes in. My car smells pig rich right now but it is way more fun to drive! Everyone looks at traffic lights!

Think it would be noticeable with FLPS, cats, & a GMMG?
Who else has a hammer in a manual?

Re: Hammer Cam & M6 ? ? ?
I had a
222/222 .563/.563 112lsa comp grind cam..
Which is almost identical to the Hammer Cam.
I was running that with my 6-speed, through FLP's, ORP's and a loudmouth, the cam loped pretty good, I put down like 360rwhp and 350rwtq w/no tuning or anything..

Re: Hammer Cam & M6 ? ? ?
Thanks for the replies so far fellas. I appreciate it. I'm just torn between 112 (for lope & torque) and 114 lsa for track times (peak power). I also need a came that will be into the 420 rwhp range with stage 2, say TEA heads. Is this possible with the Hammer or C2 cam? If not, than I think that I will have to jump it up a little to like a 227/224.
Keep the info coming though!

Especially since yours is a M6 you shouldnt have a problem. I dynoed 413 with my stock TB and catback.

I have the C1 cam and a M6. Click on my pics link in my sig and I have my dyno chart near the end of the album. I will try to get a sound clip this weekend as long as we don't get any more ice here in Texas.

Re: Hammer Cam & M6 ? ? ?
I have MTI stage II heads w/ C1 cam in a M6. The 112 has a nice lope, but with a 900 idle no problems. I have all the bolt-ons thru wide open borla. It sounds real mean at idle, but not too lumpy. Nice idle even with the air on.It dynoed 417 rwhp, and 404 rwtq with a short belt. Best ET 11.55 @ 118 with a 1.65 sixty and raceweight of 3600 with driver. I love the combo. If I had it to do over again, I think I would go with the C2. Good luck!! My .02

Re: Hammer Cam & M6 ? ? ?
I love this cam for a cruiser! if I were going to gut my car and make it a race car like a lot of guys do, then I would go bigger . For what I do , I would not change the cam untill I go to an allbore or bigger. Dyno #'s in sig are with only 1000 miles on new moter. I would guess I am at 400 hp now with ported tb and more break in.
