Default Flt and precision industries awesome customer service

Here is the deal, sent my transmission in to FLT for a refresh, and the converter to Precision Industries for a stall change. Their products and customer service was excellent. But this is were they really shine. I installed a new engine and never checked the spacing for the converter to flywheel. I just never gave it a thought that the engine blocks would be different. I made a big mistake, messed the pump up in the transmission and the converter. So here goes round two, sent the transmission and converter back to be repaired. I explained to Andy at FLT and Jack at Precision Industries that I am in a time crunch. I needed to have my car up and running in less than two weeks. I have an appointment to get the car tuned, and I still need to break the engine in. Jack fixed the converter and had it shipped to Andy in less than a week. The price was well under what I had expected. Andy went through the transmission and the only problem was the pump. Once they finish the trans they shipped it out from Illinois to me in New york. It should have taken 3 days to get it, but I received it the next day. The car is up and running and I did shim the converter to flywheel by almost 1/8". This put me between 1/8" and 3/16".

Thanks Again
Andy @ FLT and Jack @ Precision Industries

Nice, how long did you have the transmission in the car before you sent it in for the refresh?

I had it in for 2 years, 1 year all motor and last year boosted. Just wanted to make sure I was not going to have any problems. I am going to be making more power this year.

Thanks Jason,
I need to make it clear though all I handled was the logistics. Chuck and Adam got it up on the bench and taken care of right away. I'm glad everything worked out!

Great job guys! It always makes me happy to see threads like this. There seems to be too few of them anymore. The way things are going in this country right now, you have to be willing to go above and beyond for your customers. There are way too many other places for them to shop that would be more than happy to take the business.
