Theres no "break in" with a PB trans. Just give it a few days, it will break on its own. Those transmissions they assemble are total garbage. Im sorry you wasted your money on them.

I recommend you qualify your accusations before bashing a sponsor.

What experience or evidence leads you to such statements?

experience, When my friend had to bum rides to college and work for over 6 months becuase he was waiting for his transmissions to get fixed. He went with a different company who shall remain nameless after calling it quits with the original company and hasnt had one problem EVER with the new company for 2 yrs. go figure.

we also had people in our same car club here in South cali that had serious issues with the same original business then went to a different business (who are well known on this site) and had no problems at all. go figure. when its built right you dont have any problems.

I dont know - I'm on my 3rd tranny from PB. I do absolutely no racing, and have been clueless to the problems they have given me. PB have also never gave me insight to the problems. I'm extremely worried about the one I have now, and am constantly trying to find a way to prevent it going out again. No luck stil.

I have been running a PB Level 2 since summer 2007 behind a H/C and spray car. I broke the input sprag at the track in April 2008 on a Sat. I called Frank Sat afternoon told him what the transmission did, i shipped back to them under warranty. They took the transmission apart found the part i broke, he sent me pics of the broke part. Repaired the transmission and shipped it back a week later. Didn't cost me anything. Since then its been great, Frank has always answered my questions and there customer service is unmatched. I stand behind there transmission. I have 5 friends all with level 2's and there going strong too with no issues. Performabuilt rocks!!!!!!!!!

I have stage 2. Supposdly under warranty charged me shipping. Also just got the trans back recently after total rebuild that I paid for.. and the damn transmission is already leaking out of the transmission pan... I drove it for a few hundred miles as a breakin with NO WOT pulls nothing...
I was told by Frank for a break in period... Get it warm, let it cool down overnight, Get it warm again check fluid.. If ok "Do what you want"

I guess its hit or miss with those guys.
OP when I had a PB trans he said that 50-100 miles should be fine but since they "test" their trannys he said it wasn't totally necessary. Hope you got a good one.

Just for the record, I went through two level 2's and called it quits with them. First one lost all movement no forward or reverse gears and second one destroyed the "beast" sunshell resulting in no 2nd, 4th, or reverse. Had to pay shipping on the first one and they wanted full rebuild price on second, thats when I said eff that.

how old are you?

seriously, have you ever owned a PB product? if you have then fine....voice your opinion,if not.

we have & the several trannys they sent us, we had problems with.
wish it wasnt that way,but it was....would you rather do a tranny install once or multiple times?

you sound like the incompetent one & you are the troll here.....

why cant it be, that someone is just expressing there views on a part that they paid money for? i think that gives them the right to voice there opinion on the product they bought. have you ever done that? dont you have good or bad opinions on what you bought or went threw with a product that you bought?

and they the buyers, are incompetent why? because it breaks?....they didnt build it,they bought it with there hard earned money.......it didnt live up to there expectation or the builders, because they had to send another one.
let them voice there opinion, take it for what its worth & move on.its bad enough they have to remove & install a bad product again & incur more cost & now they cant voice there opinion on that product......is just wrong!

To all the idiots:

This is not a bash thread. He asked a simple question. Answer it, or don't, and then move on. No trans builder is perfect. So we are to believe that performabuilt can't build a trans worth a **** because you say so? **** that. Sell stupid somewhere else.

Agreed man for a paying sponsor too many people get away with crapping in every PB thread that's posted. People should start getting warnings or bans.
