how much should i expect to pay to fix a slightly cracked fiberglass hood?

Default how much should i expect to pay to fix a slightly cracked fiberglass hood?

guy locally on craigslist is selling a ws6 hood OEM that was on a car that hit a deer. the edges are slightly cracked and has some paint chips and i believe some ding/dents,but otherwise the rest of the hood is in really good condition. how much should i expect to have this fixed if i buy it? even if its not the best fix in the world how much do you guys thinkt he paint will run me?

I wouldnt pay asking price, $200 tops...its an easy fix, but labor is going to kill you unless you know how to do it yourself.

i wish i could do it myself, when it comes to body stuff im absolutely clueless, maybe i'll offer him less, how bad you think they'll get me for labor?

I have a small crack in my hood - local guy wants 500 bucks and his work is fantastic.

I paid $250 for my mecham hood a long time ago. It came off a mecham car that had been in an accident where it was hit on the front fender. The hood was not damaged nearly as bad as that hood there. It just had some spider webbing..

A '95 Firehawk hood in similar condition just sold here locally on craigslist for $75 - he had it on eBay for over a year for $300 and never sold

i gave 200 bucks for my oem 96 ws6 hood still new in the box only damage
was the corners near base of windshield was busted off. took an hour to
fix . and friend charged me a 12 pack of budwiser. that guy is asking way
too much for that hood for the condition its in.
