Default 72 Chevelle - 5.3/ 4l60e/ full suspension

Just wrapped up this 72 Chevelle. Started out with a worn out big-block (no matching numbers - it's a Malibu) Now it has a 5.3 setup with a mild camshaft, LS1 intake, Edelbrock headers, and Kwik brackets, backed up by a 4l60e with a Hughes converter. Installed Vintage Air and smoothed the firewall. All suspension pieces are from BMR including tubular upper and lower control arms, front and rear. Moser 9" with a detroit Truetrac and a 3.70 gear supplies the power to 17x9" replica SS wheels, with disc brakes on all 4 corners. Rewired most of the car, including a Yates EFI engine harness. Sound deadener was installed while the interior was out. Finished it off with Autometer gauges inside. The car runs and drive like a new car...it's a real enjoyable vehicle.

Onto some pics...before...during..and after

Looks great man! ove the BMR suspension....using the exact same set-up in my '69 442.

What was the tire size(s) and your thoughts on how it drives?

Thanks,
Dave

I like!... do you happen to have the part number for that upper radiator hose? (and lower) mine fits but isn't as clean lined as I would like.. plus mines spotted for some reason (bought it that way)

The top hose is an 87 Grand National upper that I cut about half off of.

I honestly think the car rides and drives perfect. I have put this setup on two Chevelle's now and love it. It's just the right feel and comfort, kinda like a c5 Corvette. The tire sizes are 255/45/17 up front and 275/50/17 out back, all on 9" wide wheels.

Thanks for the compliments from everyone!

Love it man...absolutely love it. Thanks for the sizes...I was actually going to go with 255/50-17s on the front and 275/50-17 in the rear...they look real good on that car...more pics please!!!!

I did another one a few months back that had 255/50s I believe on the front and they just looked too big and didn't fit the car quite right, I think these fit very well. I'll see if I can dig up a pic
