I had my radiator hose do the same thing, I was driving back to work from my lunch break and my car seemed to explode with steam from under my hood. I quickly pulled over and saw the ripped hose. I replaced it and my car had no opti issues for years. Having a vented opti probably helped out a lot.

If you haven't had any issues already it's doubtful you'll have any problems, at least due to your coolant leak.

Smiting the Opti God is fun.

I daily drove my opti through FL rain all the time, no biggie. The only time I had an opti go to **** were both times my car sat for longer than a month. They don't seem to like to sit or at least that was my luck.
