Default What happens if you put a 4L60 (non-e) behind a newer PCM?

Aside from not having lockup, do I lose anything?

Here's the deal; I have a 93 Firehawk with an LT1 engine, but I'm going to
run a LS1 PCM with connectors for a 96+ 4L60e. I was going to hold off on
the tranny swap until I got everything running, I just want to make sure that
it will work that way.

Also, I want to make sure that the 96+ will bolt right up and allow me to use the 4000 stall I have in the 4L60.
ATI indicated that it should work fine as long as it's behind an Lt1.

I know a lot of you run 700R4, TH350 and TH400s .. so I don't think this should be a huge issue.

And no, I do not want to run a manual valve body.

The stall will be the same, you could always run a manual lockup switch.
You'll have to use the '93 throttle body for the t/v cable.

I have a 93 throttle body abd TV cable since my car is a 93, so that's no big deal.

I could run a manual lockup if this was going to be a long-term solution.
But once I install a nice beefy 4L60e, I should be able to use the LS1 PCM to control
shift points and lockup. That was part of the reason I picked the LS1 PCM over an aftermarket solution.

'97 down will work with the converter. '98 and up LS1 4L60E won't work with it. Has little to do with the engine, that can be adapted, the main difference is the input shaft and stator tube.
