Default How will my car run without tuning after a cam?

Its a 1998 Camaro SS A4, I am going with the MTI T1, the car has all bolt on's and the TB is ported and the blade is already drilled because I got it off a guy who had a cam in his car. I will be taking it to LS1 speed to be dyno tuned but want to know if it will make it around town for a few days before I can get it up there? Will I have many problems with it stalling or will the computer eventually compensate for the different cam? I am new to all this so any help is appreciated. Thanks

Are you already in possession of the cam? I don't think MTI sells it anymore. Unless you've found it at another shop laying around, it'll be tricky to get one new.

Well, I'm not too sure on an A4 car, but a M6 car would have no problems with that.

Do you find that it surges at all or tries to hunt for an idle? What was your like right after initial start up? I'm asking so I know what to expect so that i don;t freak about anything, haha. Thanks guys.

when its cold it idles, starts up fine.
but when its hot you have to give it a little gas to keep it runnin (just for a second or so) but after it gets its initial fuel its fine
and dont let me make it sound like it wont idel because i love it it idles fine once it finds it which usually takes maybe 5-10 seconds or so
PM me for any questions. dont get discouraged if it doesnt run good for the first week or so mine took about 2-3 weeks and now i think the pcm has kind of made a few compensations
