TB size and port
#4
Stock TB is 48, you can port it yourself if you want to. I've seen lots done (some good, some horrible).
Used BBK and Holley TBs are pretty cheap anymore, I'd scoop one of those
up if only just to know that you will get the most out of the project.
Most come with an airfoil built in, which is nice.
The stock manifold ports are a little bigger than 52mm;
I'm pretty sure they were closer to 54, but it's been a while since I measured.

I think my 93's were 54, but its been ages since I ported it.
I know AS&M make(made?) a 54mm that was supposed to be the largest you can run without porting.
I wouldn't be surprised if some castings were closer to 52 and others closer to 54.

crap, i tried to post last night. guess it didn't go through...
i measured mine, it has a beveled edge on the openings, from where the bevel starts it's 54mm, but like ramair's the opening is only 52mm.
i put my ported intake on, didn't notice nearly as big of a difference going from 52 to 58 as i did from 48 to 52. but it was still noticeable
