Question Are ALL hardened pushrods created equal?

I'm building an LS3 to go into my 2001 Camaro SS M6 and I'm going to need aftermarket pushrods for my build.

I need 7.425" pushrods, does it really matter who I buy from or what "brand" I buy, as long they are hardened? Are some really better than others?

I will be using stock LS3 rockers.

YeA there are alot of differences. I'm no expert but when I bought Mine I remember you can get alot of different wall thickness's and I think different overall thicknesses.

I went with Texas speed package cause I needed new everything.

There are only a few companies that actually have the tooling to make pushrods. Trend makes more than half and the others are manley (who uses the old machines that Trend sold them) and I believe diamond pushrods is another.

There are smaller shops that do the custom wall thickness and such lengths like smith bro's in oregon and manton (the original).

For what your doing, if you purchase a .080" 4130 1 piece pushrod from any of the big names your more than likely purchasing a Trend pushrod. You can't really go wrong with either of them IMO.

Terry Manton is a great guy. He made and shipped mine from Ca to Mi in less than 23 hours.

He will always get my business very nice custom 3 piece .120 wall PR for $160 a set.

Trend is 90 miles from me and they told me 2 weeks to make them. The Mantons were nicer parts

Met Terry in Indy this year he is a racer and family guy

Trend is owned by Diamond Pistons. Order up the 7.425's from Livernois Motorsports. They've got good deals on them
