Well I'll be going back to MEPS Monday afternoon and ship to Ft. Jackson(I know I know) Tuesday. Any last minute tips/advice? I've been running a lot and can already pass the push ups and sit ups for the 2-2-2 PT test.

Good luck man, how long did you have to wait after going to MEPs the first time to learn your ship date to basic?

I learned it at MEPS when I signed my contract. I signed 12/20 and ship out next week so it wasn't even a 3 month wait to leave after signing.

Nice, I was back and forth on the Army and Air Force but went with the AF in the end but sometimes I think I should have went with the Army for the faster ship date to basic compared to a longer wait (most the time) with the AF. Anyways, congrats man what MOS did you go with?

Thanks. I'll be a 15W UAV operator something the AF only lets Officers do:gay: I looked into the AF first but didn't like the lack of jobs I could get as an enlisted soldier. If I could've signed with the AF for the job and ship date I have, I might have signed with the AF. I'm going to apply for Warrant Officer Flight Training in a couple years which would be another thing the AF doesn't do. I'm happy with my choice and wish you all the luck in the world with your career.:usa:

Great job right now. Fort Jackson is a joke so you should have no problem with it. I have a soldier right now that is reclassing for 15W and he can not wait.

I might see you down there, except I'll be at Drill Sgt School, lol. Have fun.

I 'll try lol. Another guy from my recruiting station leaves next Sunday so I may bump into him there. It would've been cool if he went with me.

My wife will probably be in your platoon. She is home with an injury, but will be back at ft J in a few weeks.

The 2 2 2 is useless now since they are going with the new pt test.
