Default Injector Size Help

Well i will be adding some ported 799s and a cam to my 01 TA

(stock motor besides bolt ons) and from what i have read and been told this will be maxing out or close to maxing out my injectors !

I want to run in the safe range i dont want them maxed out so what size injector and brand injector should i be looking for ?

Thanks to anyone with info.

I used the injector calculator thing and it said i would need 66lb injectors Think i done something wrong lol

You should be plenty fine with a 42lb injector. Give Ficinjector a call and they will help you. You do also know that stock injectors can be modified to flow more right? Fic also does that if you want.

I wasnt aware of modifying the stock injectors either ! Thanks

i really dont want a bunch of down time waiting on injectors.

So i guess im going to get some new ones that way when it comes time to swap things i can just swap everything and be done no waiting on anything I HOPE LOL

I Think 42s would be alittle overkill in my opinion. If you have plans of maybe doing more in the future go with 42s if not go with 30lb red top svo injectors which are 36lb at gm pressure.

Im pretty sure there good for over 450hp but im not 100% sure. Im making about 450 and I have ls2 36lb injectors. Fci injectors told me 36lb would be perfect for me. I hope that helps. Id call fci and ask there opinion to be safe. Maybe someone will chime in that knows what they can support safely.
