Fox body guys, need a little help. What oil pan are you guys using? I have the truck pan with my 5.3 and I plan on using the AJE Racing K member. I found this http://www.jegs.com/i/GM%20Performan...0002/-1?CT=999 oil pan kit on Jegs. Is 7.750" too deep for the AJE K member? I really do not want any pan hanging down.

I thought about this also, I cut my truck pan down and had it welded. It is 7 in deep. Others said it would hang down to low. I ended up getting the fbody pan. I am selling the truck pan for cheap, LMK.

I have the F body pan, clears and fits the AJE K member perfectly and has better clearance than my ford 8 quart Moroso ever did. I had a 5.3 in the shop the other day waiting to be resold, and I was looking at the pan and I would not want to try something that would hang that low.

I will probably try to cut down the truck pan till I can afford the $300 or so for the F body stuff. I guess it is time to learn how to weld aluminum... It isn't worth the price to buy a pan that is only 1/2" shallower and still hangs below the K member.
