Default Cam Question

There is a guy locally here trying to sell me what he says is a LT4 Hotcam out of his LT1. He listed GMPT.BC.17.779 as the part number that is printed on the cam. I can't seem to cross reference that number anywhere. Doesn't seem to be a GM part number at all. You guys have any idea?

GM part number for the LT4 Hotcam is 24502586. Sorry, no idea about those numbers you posted.

That's what is confusing me. He pulled it out of his LT1. I watched him do it, but the part number on the shaft itself doesn't cross reference to any part number anywhere. It's weird.

Guys name is Kevin. He's a guy I knew when I was a kid in Colorado Springs.
