when you tap into the wires. solder them + shrinkwrap.dont use inline plastic taps[never works, tired it first].. also try to use the best quality cable you can get my cheapo radio shack makes static if the plug isnt just right in the ipod.. other then that the input has been perfect for 2+ years

this look interesting, make sure to poast a review

My girl has it in her car, I can't hear the difference between streaming and plugged in. And I'm one picky **** lol so that's saying something.... the Bluetooth phone part works well in the car, but you can deff tell you're on speaker phone on the other end... Its pretty cool, I like it.

On the install side of things. I already planned on solder and heat shrink.

I have a galaxy1000 and it works great! About 5 minute install!

Road noise can be a little rough, but I still have XM and all I loose is OnStar. Plus all the onstar buttons work as phone controls!

This option doesnt support blue tooth audio which blows. Aside from that most swear by this unit.

My CD player is fuct.
SQ of XM vs CD's = ****
Will this sound as good as a CD (assuming a bitrate of 320 for apple/apples comparison)?

The instructions I posted is a hardwired connection, not a FM modulated signal. All youre doing is using the XM input on the head unit.
