Just curious how soon a group of you guys will be hiitin it up?

prolly when the weather turns around, id check the orygun thread often, usually someone will plan a track day

If your running the stock maf i dont really see how it would change things up to much. Cause your computer is programed to run off of what that maf reads. You should just call tom and ask cause i maybe wrong or right

Nitroused - It isn't Pacific International Raceway. It is just Pacific Raceway (PR) which is located in Kent, WA in the Seattle area. Most of us live in the Portland area and that is why we go to Portland International Raceway (PIR). Pacific has a good track, but have had issues in management lately. The newest manager was recently hired, and sounds like a good guy

I will be ready in a few weeks, I got the new motor in, I am just waiting for a dry street weekend to take it over and have Ellis do a road tune.

I thought all tunes from Wong come with a free year of updates? He told me if I get a new tb, I can get it retuned within a year for free.

Well maybe 2002BlackTA and I will have to make a trip to Portland (PIR) sometime this summer and meet up with you guys.

If you are running the same MAF and it was scaled properly I don't see why swapping intakes would be a big issue. Say your LS6 intake was pulling 330 gram / sec of airflow through the maf, I am sure the correct air fuel ratio was tuned at this point. Now maybe your new setup is pulling 345 g/sec, the MAF should be very close in fueling if it was calibrated right. The main thing to worry about is if you were close to max duty cycle on your injectors with the LS6 intake and you threw the fast on, you may now be running out of fuel and need bigger injectors.

You best bet is to give Wong and call see if he can tweak it for you real quick. It wouldn't take long at all with a wideband.

The list is long, but to keep it short and sweet.
Full suspension, exhaust, mild cam, 3600 stall. Drive shaft, inter stubs, and shafts go in next week.

Believe it or not, there are a few BOM's in WA. Heck I went to PPP year before last. There were 4 of us. As it is, it's weird seeing one let alone 4. LOL.

What specs are you guys getting in the EPS cams? Geoff answers the phone every time I call...how long have you been waiting to hear back from him?

mine is a 226/234 113LSA didnt give me the lift when I talked to him. I ordered my cam over a month ago. Called him last week and he said he hadnt got the specs to comp to have it ground yet been busy at the shop he said. I very rarely see any GTO's around Spokane here and I have only seen one other BOM and that was 2 years ago before I had my 06. Before I traded the 04 away last fall I had the BOM, the yellow 04 and my cousins black 05 in my shop. That was kinda cool have all 3 years in one shop

I went down tonight, had a good time, Only saw one older f-body, he came over and checked out my car when I ran him down halfway down the strip

2.4? I know PIR doesn't have the greatest track prep by any means. But a 2.4 60'? If the track has gotton that bad, maybe I'll just keep my PIR "license" money and keep my track time at Woodburn.

Well I've been to both and I hit my best time at PIR. At woodburn all I could get was 13.1's.. I pretty sure it's to early to go. I'm going to try to hit up both tracks again this year. I need to find another motor pretty quick too. Eathier a LS2 or a LQ4-9.

thats what I blame my crappy 60's on, though everyone tells me I should be able to do something around a 2.0 on solid street tires like what I run.

I need to pick up a set of hoosiers and some 15 wheels to mount them on. I need to redo my brake lines in the engine bay for better header clearance and will put some line lock solenoids in at the same time too...

Not really man my best 60 foot was on street tire's in my camaro. And i also have a set of M/T's that i ran on. Its all on how the track is that day and the tires would be at 15 pounds. Its not a honda 5k to 6k launch is not needed you would just blow the tire's or drag radials at that rpm. i Have driven lots of 6 speed ls cars at the track.

It has DR's. And your statement about the best driver in the world not being able to hit 11's is retarded. I've seen plenty of guys with the same set up and or with less modifications hit 11's all day. I think you are just upset that you haven't landed a solid 11 with your H/C combo. ;)

It was terrible. Keep in mind I've only been to the track once. My 60 foots were like 2.3 to 2.5. My best time was a flat 13.0 @117 or 118mph. My MPH were pretty good. Keep in mind these times were with just bolt ons, stock 3.42 gears and me not warming up the tires at all and only taking the RPM's up to 2500 off the line. In a good drivers hands, this combo as it sits now has easy 11's in it.

Just bolt ons my ass..lol 117-118mph? Dont think so. I only hit 109 and phill 108 pat 108. Even Tyler with 3.93 gears he only hits 112.. So maybe you saw 107 or 108..:D

Poncho doesn't have the tire for a launch like that and he spins to much when he launch's. and he has to much gear. He needs 3.90's or 4.10's

A 400 + rwhp m6 will spin the tires through 3rd gear. 4.11's and a 10 bolt with a sticky tire = bye bye 10 bolt. A 6 speed car needs a good bias ply drag slick to have a good launch, unless you have a ton of drag orientied suspension mods.

Not quite the same. The GTO's have independent rear suspension, so the rear end plants evenly. A live axle will unload the right rear tire because the axle wants to twist with the driveshaft.

Yeah I broke two 10 bolt's before I got the 9" and the first time was under bolt on power. I don't really think a taller gear would help my car, I think it is more so I need a taller tire with more sidewall to flex and also another 2" on each side would help. Right now I am only running a 26" slick with an 8.5" contact patch.

Ok i guess i have a super 10 bolt then. Cuz i have bolt ons and head and cam and drs and i launch the shit out of mine. It dead hooks at 4k but at 4.5k he tires were spinning pretty bad. But i did that in colder weather. Im pretty sure its cuz i release tye clutch instead of just sliding my foot off

I don't know, you've only had your h/c for what, 9 months, and the car hasn't been driven but maybe 4 of those months lol.... Give it some time, that cherry will pop eventually.

Ok guys thats sucks your 10 bolts broke so easily. Mine has held up just fine and ive done numerous hard launches. Since you all are telling em how easy you guys broke yours, im guessing you guys think im lieing about it. If any of you are breaking your rear ends with street tires and bolt ons you are probly trieing to break it.
