Default Ls1 408 vs old style 434 build

Can i build a ls1 408 cheaper than an old style 434 engine?

That's really a broad question with a million variables. Do you have a machine shop you trust that has experience with the LSx platform?

I mean in my opinion the LS series is the best motors out there tons of marketing, power options research, budget prices power options. I would not mess with an old school motor if you can get a LS it depends on what you want to spend and your goals for the car

I think you can do the ls408 cheaper.a 434 sbc short block is $4700+shipping.I bet you can find a ls2 stroker short block for less then that.
