Default Question about a 2002 Z28

What do you think would be a good selling price for a stock 2002 Z28 with all options? Leather, T-tops, etc....

I paid $21k for mine with 14k miles about 6 mos. ago. It has all the options except the CD changer. I bought it from a local dealer.

check around in the vehicle classifieds...maybe $18,500 depending on condition of the car and milage, but not saying it would actually sell for that.

It amazes me how low these cars are going for on the PRIVATE market. Just take your time and look around, you will find someone desperate to sell. The car lots are overpriced, but they will come down if you low ball them. The F body market is way depressed right now.

Why I am asking is that this is my mom's car and she thinks she is getting too old to have both a Z28 and a C5. She is keeping the C5 and is looking to buy a Trailblazer. It really was just a matter of question whether to trade it in or to sell it outright.

If you trade it in you'll be depressed. Sell it outright if you can.

I bought my ' 02 Z28 back in July. It had only 7,000 miles and is loaded besides no leather and no rear defrost. The sale price on it was $22990. It did have some mods already though like ZR-1 wheels, Khumo Ecsta tires, an air lid, and exhaust. So there were some bonuses there. I could've probably talked the price down some, but with the mileage, plenty of factory warranty, and it being such a clean car I was comfortable with the price and didn't haggle. I just told them what I wanted for my truck and it was a done deal.

I also work in the car business...and you'll probably be sad over what the trade-in is for your Z28. Sell it yourself

My mom lives in northern Indiana and she drives the Z in the winter. Doesn't make much sense but a Trailblazer does.

I bought my 2001 SOM Z28 A4, 16K miles, perfect condition, and loaded with the only exception being the cd changer for $17500 in November of 2003.

Yes, KBB is a good estimate, though expect lower than trade in (do it honest too, you may think your car is "excellent" condition...but it's not, so don't rate it at that) because they'll say they have to fix "this" and "that" and it'll take away from the trade-in value. But since winter is almost gone, I'd hang onto it and try to sell it yourself.

A deal is close to being made. The GMC dealership offered her $15,500 for trade in on a 04 Envoy. Not sure what is going to be done though. Thanks for everyone's feedback.

Being A 2 year old car i would say close to or around 20,000 depending on condition and mileage

Arrow

Since she is pretty much set on getting rid of it right away, there's no chance you/she will be able to sell it to an individual that fast.

Unless she can keep it until it sells.

$15.5 sounds probably right for an 02, since you can buy them for 17-19K already.
