I was just curious if the handle (stick itself, not the shift ****) was adjustable to make it shorter at all? It seems to me like MGW shifter has a height that is similar to the stock shifter, but I can't see for sure. I would like to shorten that handle if at all possible. It looks like it might be adjustable via those small screws at the base of the handle.

Anybody know if it can be done?

The handle can't go any lower (or higher for that matter), but you could always cut it down and rethread it.

I was actually just thinking about this on my way to work this morning. If you do decide to cut it and re-thread let us know how it goes.

Question: Are there any after market handles that would work with the shifter?

my 5.0 and lou's short stick were MUCH lower then the MGW, and i liked that... I dont like how high up this stick is. I thought this MGW and "short" stick would be the size of the 08 dodge viper stick and shifter..

Thats kinda what I was shooting for, to have the same height as the "Lou's" shifter. That would be my only gripe about the MGW. Great shifter overall.

The stick is a peice of steel.. Just take it to any machine shop and tell them how much of it you want removed. They can make it 1" tall if you wanted.

I would imagine it wouldnt cost very much either.
