Default Hit a Curb, FML

So I hit a curb in a parking lot ( yes i know) The front and rear passenger side BTW. Well now the rear will vibrate under a load 1/2 throttle. But if I only give the car 1/4 throttle there is no viabration. I changed out torque arm but didn't change a thing and the mount looks like new. Could it be the DS? it didn't look bent. BTW both rims are ok. Please help

the driveshadt shouldnt be messed up from hitting a curb. It most likely you bent something on the front suspension or you just knocked the car out of alignment

The front end is fine. It's the rear that viabrates under a load. Hit the curb at like 5mph.

Hmm doubt it was alignment then but maybe, something shifted loose or something maybe. You've looked under there and tried to see if anything looks out of place/loose/ect right?

it does that for 1/2 and 1/4 throttle what about WOT? And what kind of vibration is it? Very strong? Mechanical? Light/hard? Does it go in or out or get worse or better?

It does it at 1/2 and full throttle, but not at a 1/4. I have been under the car using a car lift. I also switched out the torque are while it was on the lift.

Rotate the front and rear tires. That will either confirm or eliminate the wheels as the problem.

Hi,
sorry about your misfortune......the above quotes offer good suggestions.
You may want to drive vehicle until problem (vibration) occurs. Shift into neutral and see if problem goes away. This will eliminate drive line......
Check wheels for balance/out of round. Good luck and have a blessed week......

Yes, but putting in neutral will not take the driveline completely out of the equation as the axles/gears in the differential will still be turning. I would suspect a bent axle, bent wheel, out of alignment, or tire out of balance/cupping/out of round before I would suspect either the differential and/or the driveshaft.

@ the OP: Is your rear end making noises like grinding, howling, or whining? That would point to the rear as the problem.

So since I last posted, I checked the rims (not bent). I also changed out the axle that hit the curb and changed the panhard bar. Still have the same issues. I think it's either the DS or the LCA's. I need more input.

try moving the pinion around up and down. if there is any play in it that's your problem. i've never seen this in person, but have heard many stories of it happening. also check your u joints just to rule that out. does it only happen at certain speeds?

Put it on an alignment rack, and try a different set of tires if possible. A fresh alignment wouldnt hurt anyways. Good luck man, vibrations are a real pain to track down

Well if i give it more that a 1/4 of throttle (in any gear) it will vibrate. also crusin 60-70 is the worse vibration.
