Default What is this on the end of my fuel rail?

I didn't really notice it until I got my fuel rail covers because it keeps the driver side FRC from snapping down on the fuel rail. Anyway what is it? What is it called? How do I get rid of it? Thanks!

Looks like a Hobbs switch.. (pressure switch) just take it off and put a plug on the end of the rail?

+1 for fuel pressure gauge sender

To delete you need a schrader valve to screw back into the rail, then a cap. Salvage one off a spare rail or rob a V6 from a JY

that is a fpss fuel pressure safety switch. It is mainly used in nitrous applications. The n20 maybe the cause of the hole in the intake.

Someone had spray on the car before the OP bought it.

So can I get a "schader valve" from a parts store? And yeah I didn't know the car had been sprayed when I bought the car. I didn't know **** about nitrous, or cars in general when I bought my car 2 years ago. But thanks to everyone on ls1tech I'm becoming less retarded by the day. Thanks again!

There is one just like it on the other side. I don't know why they are there, but it is an ls6 intake if that matters at all. They don't actually open up to the inside of the intake, I think I would have some problems if they did.

OP: look for a schrader valve "core tool" to re-install it. I looks like a female flathead screwdriver.

The core tool is also handy for fukin with people when they **** you off. De-core their tires and put the caps back on.

So is the schader valve like the same thing as a tire valve stem core, or is it totally different?

Yes, they look like a tire valve. But don't use a tire valve in there. A Schreadar valve is designed for high pressure. A tire valve is not.
