car will not stay running after cc306 install!
Here s the deal, the first fire up went well after 3 attempts to start she fired up and idled great for 20 min or so. After that we turned the car off, made a rocker adjustment on the loose rockers, loaded a pcm for less tune and attempted to restart. Now the car will start but will not stay running on its own. I reverted to the previous tune and it did the same thing. we also got a p0335 crankshaft position sensor code from both tunes but that is the only code it is throwing. I replaced the cps sensor and tried the old one as well and get the same code. Did I over tighten the rockers on the adjustment maybe? I am using 1.6 self align rockers. Things we added to car: cc306 cam, 8.5 wires, known good working opti, csr electric waterpump, chromeoly push rods, new valve springs seals seats retainers. Checked many times for vacuum leaks, plug wires being crossed etc.. anyone have any ideas??

Yes one way,but it could be flipped 180,not sayin you did but maybe possible. We all make mistakes.Look inside the hole. You should not have any codes for this unless the wire is left unconnected,or the sensor is bad or the reluctor is on wrong.Do you remember if when you put it on there should have been a gap between the gear and the outer edge of the reluctor? Shaped like a dish would the bottom of the dish be touching the gear?

shoulda double rowed with a cloyes....u are running the electric water pump already.
could be the ICM try a friends known working.
also adjust the rockers while engfine is on...nevermind the stupid books.......open one up hear it tap...then close till no tapping...then add a quarter or half turn more.
