This is a very helpful link ... !

If you don't already know, figure your tire size based on trapping in 4th gear (1:1 ratio).

Are you running a 9"? It has been my experience that the GM & Dana's only accept 4.10's.

4.11's makes sense then. I won't be set up for the track for another month or so. I will be running the 1/8 mile and I have a lead on a 1/4 mile track that may let me run the 1/4 without a roll bar. If I have to go to a sanctioned track, I will need a cage which will probably be a while.

My plans are to run a 26" tall tire which will be 128 mph at 6800 in 4th gear. That should be just about right in the 1/4 mile. If I need to, I could go to a 28" which would be 138 mph. That gap will leave me room for improvement just by changing tire o.d.

I have the same cam, m6, I had 4.10's (now I have a moser 12 bolt with 4.11's) and on a 26" tire I am going through the traps at the top of 4th. Motor and nitrous....on the bottle I am going through the traps in 4th around 6800rpms.

all motor I also make 400rwhp on my nitrous tune....so our cars are as close as they are going to get.
