Default 13:1 compression out of an aluminum 5.3 possible? just pistons replaced

idealy I want to build a 414 or so stroker that runs on e85. I'm not gonna resleeve this block (lh6) and I simply don't have 4k just for a shortblock. I couldn't find ls1 pistons (3.905) that would help get to this compression.

i have some 243 heads sittin around if they would be compatible. would have a super Vic intake, carb and a 150 or so shot of nitrous. just putting together a high compression street motor until i can afford the big boy.

thanks for any input, can't find my answer by searching

depends on what kind of gas you have, 93 octane might be too low. guess you could run a calmer timing table, and a custom cam to bleed off some compression...

as far as it working, sure. anything's possible. but i havent seen many people go over 12:1 on a street motor (93 octane) i can only get 91 octane here....

should have made it more clear. it'll run on e85. just can't find the right pistons. also unsure if ptv clearance would be na issue with that much dome and possibly having to mill the heads

The heads most likely wouldn't have worked with the bore anyways.

wiseco makes a piston that will get an ls1 to 13:1. Thats what i plan on doing with mine as i have E85 readily available.
