13:1 compression out of an aluminum 5.3 possible? just pistons replaced
idealy I want to build a 414 or so stroker that runs on e85. I'm not gonna resleeve this block (lh6) and I simply don't have 4k just for a shortblock. I couldn't find ls1 pistons (3.905) that would help get to this compression.
i have some 243 heads sittin around if they would be compatible. would have a super Vic intake, carb and a 150 or so shot of nitrous. just putting together a high compression street motor until i can afford the big boy.
thanks for any input, can't find my answer by searching

depends on what kind of gas you have, 93 octane might be too low. guess you could run a calmer timing table, and a custom cam to bleed off some compression...
as far as it working, sure. anything's possible. but i havent seen many people go over 12:1 on a street motor (93 octane) i can only get 91 octane here....
